Here’s a little bit if you’re not heard about the Festival before.

The Mrs Sunderland Festival is a performing arts festival held in honour of Mrs Susannah Sykes Sunderland. Born in 1819, she was the principal soprano of the Huddersfield Choral Society.

Over the years it has gown and now over 4,000 performers join in at Huddersfield Town Hall during the eleven day event.

The Festival’s Dance Showcase was held on Monday 20 February and was a further contribution to the Kirklees Year of Music 2023.

We’re very grateful to have been included in the first dance showcase and look forward to seeing the celebration of dance grow over the coming years.
